Polling Place Election

The election will be held to elect a Police Judge and three Board of Selectmen; one from each of the three Wards.
    Candidates must be: 18 years old
                                      Resident of Georgetown for one year prior to the election
                                      Registered voter in Clear Creek County

Nomination petition packets are available to be picked up beginning December 31, 2018  and are due back January 18, 2019.

Mail Ballot Election- ballots must be received by 7:00 PM on Election day

SHALL TOWN OF GEORGETOWN TAXES BE INCREASED $115,000.00 IN THE FIRST FISCAL YEAR (2019) AND BY WHATEVER ADDITIONAL AMOUNTS ARE RAISED ANNUALLY IN EACH SUBSEQUENT YEAR, THROUGH A ONE HALF PERCENT (½%) INCREASE IN THE TOWN SALES AND USE TAX RATES [INCREASING THE SALES TAX RATE FROM FOUR PERCENT (4%) TO FOUR AND A HALF PERCENT (4 1/2%) AND THE USE RATE FROM THREE PERCENT (3%) TO THREE AND ONE HALF PERCENT (3½%)], COMMENCING ON JANUARY 1, 2019 AND CONTINUING UNTIL JANUARY 1, 2029; SUCH TAX INCREASE TO CEASE ON SUCH DATE,  THE REVENUES FROM SUCH INCREASE TO BE USED SOLELY FOR MAINTENANCE OF AND IMPROVEMENTS TO STROUSSE PARK, CITY PARK, WERLIN PARK, TRIANGLE PARK, MEADOWS PARK, GREENWAY PARK, WARMING HUT/WILDLIFE VIEWING PARK, THE BENNHOFF LAKE TRAIL AND OTHER TOWN-OWNED PARK AND TRAIL AREAS, AND SHALL ALL REVENUES GENERATED FROM THE SALES AND USE TAX INCREASE AUTHORIZED HEREBY AND FROM ANY EARNINGS FROM THE INVESTMENT OF SUCH REVENUES CONSTITUTE A VOTER APPROVED REVENUE CHANGE AND EXCEPTION TO THE REVENUE AND SPENDING LIMITS OF ARTICLE X SECTION 20 OF THE COLORADO CONSTITUTION?
