"The mission of Georgetown Road and Bridge Department is to bring the roads (including related infrastructure), within town jurisdiction up to the best standards possible within the budget allowed, by using Best Management Practices. To work as good stewards with resources and equipment, and to initiate planned and scheduled maintenance of the various facets, which fall under the department's scope of work as a division of Georgetown Public Works Department."

The Road and Bridge Department includes three full time employees who are dedicated to providing residents and visitors with 
high quality and cost effective public service in the following areas:

  • Heavy equipment and vehicle maintenance
  • High Water Preparedness
  • Parks, Trails and Open Space management
  • Public facilities maintenance
  • Snow management
  • Stormwater management
  • Street maintenance
  • Streetscape and public gardens management 
Road and Curb Repair:  Road & Bridge repairs potholes, sunken roadway areas, and in certain instances curbs and gutters. Areas dangerous to pedestrians or vehicles should be reported at 303-569-2555, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Street Cut/Excavation Permit: Per Town Code Chapter 12.24.010, No person shall construct, install or connect any private street, driveway or access on or to any public street, alley or other right-of-way, or disturb any public pavement, sidewalk, trail, driveway or other surfacing, or dig or excavate in, on, over or through any public street, alley, sidewalk, trail or other public way, without first securing a permit to do so from the Town Administrator or Building Official and paying the applicable fee; Click here for an application.Click here for an application. Submit completed applications to Town Hall. Please note that submitted street cut requests must be approved by the Road & Bridge Superintendent. 
Excavation Season is May 1 - October 30.
